Dr. Alejandro Badia – A Practicing Physician’s Perspective
As an internationally recognized hand and upper extremity surgeon, Dr. Alejandro Badia reflected on his three decades of surgical practice and patient care. Based in Miami, he has treated elite athletes and complex medical cases from across the globe and written extensively, including his book which provides a candid physician’s view into today’s healthcare challenges. Dr. Badia also founded OrthoNOW®, a network of orthopedic walk-in centers. He is passionate about one guiding question: How can we deliver better care worldwide by leveraging physician insight, innovation, and technology?
In his talk, Dr. Badia highlighted:
- Most healthcare policy/discussions involve non-clinical participants
