Dr. Alejandro Badia, a hand and upper extremity surgeon, inaugurated his second office, Badia Hand to Shoulder Center, in Doral, Florida. The facilities feature state-of-the-art technology and are located on the ground floor of a new medical office building. Its proximity to three major highways in central Doral—the epicenter of Dade County—as well as its closeness to the Miami airport and local hotels, facilitate the stay and care of international patients.

Dr. Badia was educated at Cornell University and NYU; he later specialized in orthopedic surgery while serving as Chief Resident at Bellevue Hospital in New York City. He continued his hand surgery training in Pittsburgh and Europe. He was a co-founder of the Miami Hand Center and is currently the Chief of Hand Surgery at Baptist Hospital. He is an active member of multiple hand surgery and orthopedic/arthroscopy societies in the United States and abroad.
