Sorry forgot to update this, so far, Dr. Badia and his staff have been very accommodating to my needs as I requested an in person visit. He’s definitely on the cutting-edge of advancements and anyone would be wise to see him.
My 14 years old grandson suffered an injury of a left ring finger tendon last summer. The lesion was surgically repaired elsewhere at that time but severe scar tissue developed around the tendon preventing the flexion of the last phalanx of the finger. After many months of occupational therapy only limited improvement was obtained. Dr. Badia was consulted for a second opinion. He performed extensive tenolysis of the tendon to release it and allow it to run freely again. The tendon was then wrapped with a reabsorbable membrane (Surgiwrap) to prevent future scar tissue formation. Still within the operating room my grandson was able to make a fist and fully flex the finger. This was trully a delicate surgical procedure performed with precision that restored the function to my grandson's hand. Thank you very much Dr. Badia.
Dr. Badia did an amazing job on helping my Mom with the painful arthritis in her hands. Dr. Badia ALSO saved my friend's finger which she also almost lost while separating two fighting dogs.
After suffering an injury to our right wrist, we were referred by our orthopedist Dr. Ricardo Gutierrez in Santo Domingo to Dr. Alejandro Badia. From the initial appointment via digital, we felt comfortable with the treatment and confident in Alejandro's explanations. We put ourselves in his hands and he performed a quick and trauma-free surgery. After the suggested time, the pins and cast were removed and we are now in therapy to reactivate movement. Not only Dr. Badia but his entire team treated us with focused attention, making us feel special during each visit. Thank you Susan Iglesias for your support and constant guidance!

I am Felecia's husband who was the actual patient. I suffered for several years with limited mobility in my right thumb that significantly degraded my ability to type and play the piano. Over the years I saw three orthopedic doctors and clinics in the area where I live in Virginia and they all said it was typical arthritis and there was nothing that could be done. I was sure the condition could be improved so after a lot of online research I found Dr. Badia. From the first time I called his office, I was impressed with the professionalism, efficiency, and responsiveness of Susan and the others on his staff who helped me set up an online consultation with Dr. Badia and then schedule the surgery. The week of surgery which consisted of several pre- and post- appointments as well as the actual operation was very well organized and smoothly carried out. My wife and I who had driven to Miami from Virginia for the procedure were treated with consideration throughout the week we spent down there. My hand's recovery started very quickly and to my surprise I had almost no post-surgery pain. The swelling was largely gone in about 4 days and I started doing the preliminary movements advised by Dr. Badia's CHT. Except for stiffness and occasional slight discomfort in the thumb joint that was operated on, my right hand is back to normal and I was back to work in less than a week (wearing the hand brace I was given). I start therapy with a CHT near my home next week so time will tell if the procedure completely cures the problem I had. However, my experience with Dr. Badia and his staff to this point has far exceeded my expectations and we were very impressed at how smoothly it all went.
This has been by far one of the best and easiest doctors visits I’ve had. I fractured my wrist and was patched up in Jackson. I follow up with Dr. Badia and turns out they diagnosed me wrong and I don’t need surgery! The staff is amazing and very friendly. If you’re in need of orthopedic help this is the place to go!!
