P.L. suffered with shoulder pain for nearly a year until an MRI revealed a superior labral tear of his shoulder (SLAP tear). He came to Badia Hand To Shoulder Ctr from Cayman Islands in order to undergo the arthroscopic repair shown here. He was doing well until 3 months after surgery when he sustained a hyperabduction injury to the same arm while standing on a boat and a boat wake forced him to hold onto a mast to keep from falling. This caused re-injury which was successfully treated as a revision SLAP repair. The photo in judo class shown here illustrates P.L. about one year later while stretching in Karate class.
