Dr. Alejandro Badia, an internationally recognized specialist in hand and upper-extremity sports medicine, was invited to Peru to participate as a keynote speaker at the International Congress of Sports Medicine held in Lima.
During the conference, Dr. Badia shared his expertise on the management of sports-related injuries, presenting advanced approaches in two key areas: elbow and shoulder injuries, as well as hand and wrist conditions. His presentations focused on improving outcomes for athletes through precise diagnosis, modern surgical techniques, and individualized treatment strategies.
Dr. Badia is widely known for his commitment to the educational aspect of medicine, not only guiding patients through informed treatment decisions, but also collaborating with physicians around the world to advance knowledge in sports-related upper-extremity injuries. At the time of the conference, he served as President of the International Society of Sports Traumatology of the Hand (ISSPORTH).
