Ram Charan has successfully undergone surgery for a right wrist injury he sustained while filming Peddi, his team announced on Monday.
The operation took place at Ganga Hospital in Coimbatore, one of India’s top orthopaedic facilities, under the guidance of Dr S. Rajasekaran, the hospital’s chairman and a highly regarded orthopaedic surgeon.
Due to the complexity of the wrist injury, Dr Alejandro Badia, an internationally acclaimed hand and wrist surgeon from Miami, joined the surgical team to assist Dr Rajasekaran and Dr Praveen Bharadwaj.
The involvement of Dr Badia, considered one of the leading experts in hand and wrist surgery worldwide, highlights the serious approach Ram Charan’s medical team took in addressing this injury.

The injury occurred during the shooting of Peddi, directed by Buchi Babu Sana, who is known for Uppena.
In this film, Ram Charan stars alongside Janhvi Kapoor, Shiva Rajkumar, Jagapathi Babu, and Divyenndu. Produced by Venkata Satish Kilaru under Vriddhi Cinemas and presented by Mythri Movie Makers and Sukumar Writings, Peddi has already made a significant splash at the box office.
